Dynamic Network Factory's Falcon series high-capacity systems are ideal for high volume environments with data intensive applications. With increasing demand for longer archive time, better video resolution and higher frame rates, each high-capacity Falcon solution ensures maximized data retention and scalable performance.
The Falcon Series 1620wz 3Gbps Video Storage System incorporates storage capacities of 16,000GB (16TB) to 32,000GB (32TB) and 9,600GB (9.6TB) with 15k RPM SAS with the latest RAID technologies. High performance features include 64-bit Quad-Core architecture, 6GB system memory, and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
This fault-tolerant data storage appliance comes in a convenient, space-saving 3U Rackmount chassis with hot-swappable drives and trays, redundant 800 Watt power supply, and an advanced cooling system. Your data is protected with your choice of RAID 0, 1, 1E, 5, 5EE, 6, 10, 50, 60, and JBOD across sixteen hot-swappable disk drives on a high-performance RAID controller.
The Falcon Series 1620wz provides two rear hot-swappable 146GB RAID Certified 15,000RPM 2.5” SAS Disk Drives Mirrored at RAID 1 for the operating system. These disks and RAID controller are completely independent of the data storage array.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the Falcon Series 1620wz to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded via its integrated DVD+/-RW drive.

Input an estimate of the amount of storage you will need. Your available storage capacity will decrease depending on the RAID level you choose. Do not include hot spares in your raw storage calculation.
Input the amount of data you currently have in use. This will be used to generate an estimate on the number of disks you will need for this amount of available storage, after accounting for the RAID level.
