The Falcon Series 1420qz 3Gbps Video Storage System server incorporates storage capacities of 7,000GB (7TB) to 14,000GB (14TB) with the latest RAID technologies. High performance features include single or dual Intel® Xeon® Quad-Core processors, up to 16GB system memory, and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity. An optional high-speed 2,100GB (2.1TB) 10,000RPM storage capacity is also available.
This fault-tolerant data storage appliance comes in a convenient, space-saving 3U Rackmount chassis with hot-swappable drives and trays, redundant 800 Watt hot-swappable 1+1 power supply, and an advanced cooling system. Your data is protected with your choice of RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6 and JBOD across fourteen hot-swappable SATA disk drives on a high-performance 3Gbps SATA RAID controller.
The Falcon Series 1420qz provides two RAID Certified 36GB 10,000RPM WD Raptor disk drives mirrored at RAID 1 specifically for the operating system. These disks are completely independent of the data storage array.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the Falcon Series 1420qz to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded via its integrated DVD-ROM drive.
Falcon Series video storage systems are powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 64-Bit operating system. Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage the Falcon Series Server from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
