The Falcon Series 4820qz 3Gbps Video Storage System incorporates storage capacities of 24,000GB (24TB) to 48,000GB (48TB) with the latest RAID and NAS technologies. High performance features include dual Intel® Xeon® Quad-Core processors, up to 16GB system memory, and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity. An optional high-speed 6,000GB (6TB) 10,000RPM storage capacity is also available.
This fault-tolerant data storage appliance comes in a convenient, space-saving 8U Rackmount chassis with hot-swappable drives and trays, redundant 1300 Watt 3+1 power supplies, and an advanced cooling system. Your data is protected with your choice of RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6 and JBOD across forty hot-swappable SATA disk drives on high-performance 3Gbps SATA RAID controllers.
The Falcon Series 4820qz provides two RAID Certified 36GB 10,000RPM WD Raptor disk drives mirrored at RAID 1 specifically for the operating system. These disks and RAID controller are completely independent of the data storage array.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the Falcon Series 4820qz to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box. Additional software, including backup client or server applications, may be loaded via its integrated DVD-ROM drive.
Falcon Series video storage systems are powered by Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 64-Bit operating system. Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage the Falcon Series Server from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
