The Falcon Series M2q is available in four basic models specifically customized for a variety of direct-attached storage subsystems: SCSI-to-SCSI, FC-to-FC, SATA-to-SCSI and SATA-to-FC. The M2q supports up to three Ultra320 SCSI ports or up to eight 4Gb Fibre Channel ports or a combination of SCSI and Fibre Channel for the ultimate in hybrid video storage solutions.
High performance features include single or dual Intel® Xeon® quad-core processors, up to 16GB system memory, mirrored high-speed drives for the operating system, dual redundant power supply, and dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
Falcon Series Video Storage Systems are powered by Windows® Storage Server 2003 R2 64-Bit operating system. Windows® Storage Server allows the Falcon Seriesto be used as a file server, domain controller, application server, web server, name server, print server, streaming media server, and more!
Windows® Storage Server 2003 R2 includes Remote Desktop and an intuitive browser-based management interface, which allow system administrators to remotely manage the Falcon SeriesServer from anywhere in the world. It also includes Volume Shadow Copy Service which makes storage and back up easier, while reducing demands on system administrators. Volume Shadow Copy technology enables you to retrieve old copies of deleted files right from your Windows desktop.
